With increased globalization and accelerated change, the number and complexity of problems that we face are also increasing. Our ability to constructively address these problems is critical to our very existence as individuals, organizations, and as a civilization in general. Unfortunately, our current management model is insufficient to deal with the ever-increasing complexities of our time. If a problem unaddressed is a crisis in waiting, then the countless crises we face today provide evidence of the deficiencies in our current management model. In this presentation, Shoham Adizes will explore why the rate of change is accelerating, and how it is resulting in the increased frequency and complexity of problems. Lastly, he will provide a glimpse of the future of management, providing a path forward in a world that seems to be spinning out of control.
